Roger MoutenotRoger Moutenot

After playing in various bands on the east coast, and recording demos for these groups, Roger found himself more at home in the studio than on stage. He developed a reputation as an excellent engineer, and eventually recorded and/or mixed albums for a stellar list of artists including Lou Reed, Bill Frisell, Jill Sobule, John Zorn, Rosanne Cash, Meshell Ndegeocello and Elvis Costello.

Eventually he began producing, and the result has been six critically acclaimed albums by Yo La Tengo, Sleater Kinney's "The Hot Rock," as well as an overlooked gem by Heather Eatman, and a Freedy Johnson album which Roger co-produced with T Bone Burnett.

Roger also recorded and mixed Paula Cole's double-platinum album, "This Fire," (Paula produced) which was nominated for seven Grammys.
