Creation Studio B

The building that houses Creation Studios opened in 1916 as a Vaudeville-type theater, and became a movie theater in the '20s. In 1954, Bruce Swedien (best known for his work with Michael Jackson) turned it into a recording studio and worked there until 1958. In the '60s, it was Kay Bank Studios. The studio was acquired by Steve Wiese and was completely remodeled in 1984. The building currently contains three owner-operated studios, and is located in a popular restaurant and entertainment district, just a few miles from downtown Minneapolis.
